SHAKE BEFORE EACH APPLICATION

MIXTURE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION METHOD

Cover the wound and its edges with a layer of spray. Only for deep wounds with a narrow opening (navel), apply an additional amount of Negasunt Aerosol, ensuring it penetrates these types of wounds. After application, invert the container and press the spray valve to expel any remaining product from the internal capillary tube and clean the spray valve. Finally, return the container to its normal position and store it in a dry, covered, and secure place.

FREQUENCY OF APPLICATION AND INTERVAL BETWEEN APPLICATIONS

It does not need to be applied every day; a single application is enough to achieve a complete cure.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD IN DAYS

The waiting time for slaughter or milk consumption is zero, since due to the lack of systemic action, it is not absorbed and therefore does not accumulate.

PESTICIDE TOXICITY HAZARDS FOR THE ANIMAL SPECIES TO WHICH IT IS APPLIED, AS WELL AS FOR ANIMALS THAT ARE NEARBY DURING APPLICATION

No signs of intolerance to overdoses have been reported. Animal species other than those indicated are not suitable for treatment with Negasunt Aerosol. People near the application area should be removed before treatment begins to prevent even the slightest manifestation of possible poisoning or accidental contamination.

In case of accidental ingestion, induce vomiting and administer 3 tablespoons of activated charcoal. Give water to drink and move the person to a quiet, dark place. If it gets into the eyes, keep the eye open and rinse thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Features & Compatibility

Negasunt Aerosol 300ml

Negasunt Aerosol 300ml is a specialized veterinary topical wound dressing and ectoparasiticide meticulously engineered to treat, prevent, and eliminate cutaneous myiasis (maggot infestations), screwworms, and secondary bacterial skin infections in horses, livestock, and working animals. Combining potent larvicidal agents with a broad-spectrum antibacterial compound and a diagnostic indicator dye within a pressurized aerosol delivery vehicle, this professional-grade formulation provides targeted wound protection designed specifically for animals confronting open skin lesions, surgical sites, castration wounds, and environmental fly strike. Because of its active pharmacological profile and targeted topical requirements, the use of Negasunt requires proper wound evaluation and strict adherence to professional veterinary guidelines.

What Is Negasunt Aerosol 300ml?

Negasunt Aerosol 300ml is a specialized veterinary topical compound formulated for external application under professional clinical supervision.

Active Ingredients and Formulation

  • Active Components: Contains a precision-blended matrix of active pharmacological agents tailored for wound management:

    • Coumaphos: An organophosphate ectoparasiticide providing long-acting larvicidal efficacy to kill developing fly larvae and prevent re-infestation.

    • Propoxur: A carbamate insecticide delivering rapid knockdown and elimination of existing maggots and surface ectoparasites.

    • Sulfanilamide: A bacteriostatic sulfonamide antimicrobial agent that prevents and treats secondary bacterial contamination in open wounds.

  • Vehicle and Presentation: Formulated as a pressurized 300 ml aerosol spray containing a visible marker dye (typically blue) to clearly distinguish treated wounds from untreated areas.

What Is Negasunt Used For?

Primary Veterinary Indications

  • Myiasis and Screwworm Control: Routinely utilized by veterinarians and livestock caretakers to treat and prevent infestations of cutaneous fly larvae (Cochliomyia hominivorax and other blowfly species) in wounds.

  • Surgical and Traumatic Wound Care: Formulated to protect castrations, dehorning sites, ear-tagging lesions, wire cuts, and general lacerations from secondary strike and infection.

  • Antiseptic Barrier Protection: Combines insecticidal action with antibacterial support to promote clean tissue healing and deter vector flies from landing on sensitive healing skin.

Administration and Dosage Considerations

Route and Dosing

  • Route of Application: Applied topically. Shake the aerosol container thoroughly before use. Direct the spray evenly into and around the wound area, ensuring complete coverage of the affected cavity and margins.

  • Frequency: Thanks to its residual larvicidal action, a single thorough application is frequently sufficient to clear existing larvae and protect the wound during initial healing, though re-application can be performed per veterinary directions.

Important Safety Information

  • Contraindications: Do not use on animals intended for human consumption where regulatory withdrawal or milk discard limits prohibit application. Avoid use on domestic small pets (such as cats or indoor dogs) unless specifically directed.

  • Side Effects and Precautions: Generally well tolerated topically. Because it contains organophosphate and carbamate compounds, avoid direct inhalation, prevent contamination of feed or water troughs, and wear protective gloves during application.

  • Professional Guidance: Use must be managed in accordance with local veterinary health regulations and proper animal husbandry practices.

Storage and Handling

  • Store at controlled room temperature, protected from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and open flames (pressurized container; do not puncture or incinerate empty cans).

  • Keep the cap securely in place when not in use.

  • Keep securely out of reach of children, unauthorized individuals, and animals at all times.
